About the Author

MARK MIODOWNIK is the director of University College London's Institute of Making and a material and social educator. His debut book, Stuff Matters, was a New York Times bestseller that earned the National Academy of Sciences Communication Award for Novels and the British Society's Winton Prize. from the Royal Society, was his first book.
