About the Author
MARK MIODOWNIK is the director of University College
London's Institute of Making and a material and social educator. His debut
book, Stuff Matters, was a New York Times bestseller that earned the National
Academy of Sciences Communication Award for Novels and the British Society's
Winton Prize. from the Royal Society, was his first book. Mark writes for the
Guardian regularly has regular BBC broadcasts and was named one of the top 100
researchers in the UK by the Times.
